Virtuous Interloper
Archetype: Blaster
Origin: Technology
Primary Power Set: Energy Bolts
Secondary Power Set: Energy Manipulation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Virtuous is from a race called the Lekda. Lek: which is the name of the home planet is a storm swept ocean covered planet. The Lekda are a water borne sentient race that live in the depths of the Lek oceans. Not pretty to look at, the Lekda are basically a squid analog with a large cerebellum (see: brain) and opposable morph-able tentacles.
Safe under the water for generations, the Lekda prospered and developed into a high technology race. Only a few months after launching inter-solar space probes to learn more about the other planets in their solar system, first contact was made with aliens called the 'Kheldians'.
The Kheldians as it turned out were passing through on an intercept mission to stop an enemy armada that was wreaking havoc on settled worlds throughout this galactic region. The Kheldians tried to enlist the help of the Lekda, but only a handful of Lekda joined the Kheldian fleet. It wasn't that they didn't want to help, or that they didn't trust the aliens, but the Lekda only had one prototype starship, and ten trained crew with special bipedal environment armour to allow them to function out of the water.
The Lekda ship was called The Lopera, after the famous Lekdan mathematician Jusnit Lopera. The Kheldians nicknamed the Lekdan crew the 'InterLopers' (as a joke) when they joined the fleet, and the name stuck.
Eventually the Lekda ship engaged into battle alongside the Kheldians against a vicious Rikti war fleet, as they battled to defend a planet referred to by the Kheldian's as 'Erf'. The 'InterLopers' were part of a strategic force assigned to attack the largest 'Destroyer' class battle cruiser named 'Amok'. Overwhelmed by the amount of Rikti firepower, the Kheldian fleet was almost wiped out and was forced to retreat. The badly damaged 'Lopera' was unable to escape the battle, so the captain of the ship ordered the two other remaining crew to escape in the lifepods. The captain then rammed the Lopera into the Amok warship. The Lopera was destroyed and the Amok's forward sheilding was badly damaged.
Before the Rikti could repair the damage a ' thermonuclear missile' launched from the nearby planet hit the ship. The Rikti Destroyer was destroyed in the detonation.
The two InterLoper crew were lucky to survive, as they were still very close to the explosion in their life capsules.
'Virtuous' as the Lekda who landed in Prometheus Park (Atlas City) named himself, now takes up the battle for the good people of Atlas. There seem to be many battles to be fought on this planet. He wonders if the other Lekda also made a safe landing, and if they will ever meet up one day to return home.
